Salute the Badge: Local sheriff’s offices celebrate employee service

A Desoto Parish deputy gets special recognition from Sheriff Jayson Richardson for serving students.

Lieutenant Dean Register has spent the past 20 years mentoring local students through the D.A.R.E program, which teaches kids to say no to drugs, gangs and violence.

Register also supervises all school resource officers, court bailiffs and court house security.

In Natchitoches Parish, the sheriff’s office says farewell to Sergeant Huey Martin who retired earlier this month.

During his 15 years at the NPSO, he worked in the patrol division.

The sheriff and the community wish him well in his next phase in life.

Congrats are in order to a group of hardworking staff members at the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Paula Flournoy and Carla Strogen celebrate 20 years of service at the office.

Janice Abraham and Scott Miller have served Caddo Parish for 30 years.
