SHREVEPORT, La. - Friday night, Shreveport firefighters spent more than an hour braving the cold air, wind and pouring rain fighting a fire at a residence in the Highland neighborhood.
At 8:40 p.m. Friday, a call came in that a fire alarm had been activated, but when SFD firefighters arrived at 100 block of Jordan Street, they found smoke and flames coming from the side and rear of the one-story wood-framed home.
It took the efforts of 26 firefighters one hour and seven minutes to bring the fire under control.
Fortunately, there were no injuries reported. The fire is under investigation.
