Shamrock Shuffle 5K Race raises nearly 25K for BAFB service members

Military spouses got some green this Saint Patrick’s Day weekend.
 
The fourth Annual “Shamrock Shuffle 5K” Race and Fun Run for kids was held today. More than 3oo runners showed up to tackle the run through Highland Neighborhood.
 
The event raises money for Barksdale Service Members and their families. 
 
“My son in law is at Barksdale and I’m supporting it,” said Callie Sexton, Participant. “I run 5k’s for fun, so I really enjoy doing this,” said Ayaa Gazawaneh, participant.

“It’s super important because what it does is it helps us  raise money for scholarships for dependents who sometimes don’t have the finances to go to school to get the education that they want,” said Crystal Lohman, B.O.S.C.
 
Today the club raised nearly $25,000.
