The Shreveport-Bossier Rescue Mission is in need of Thanksgiving items. In addition to meals provided daily, each year the Mission provides thousands of Thanksgiving meals to families and individuals who need them.
Sarah Ardis, Director of Development, says they are short in all needed food categories. They need items you would put on your own table, including green beans, turkey, canned yams, cream of mushroom soup, and desserts.
For the people out in our community that we partner with through Community Renewal, it’s really important for them to know that they haven’t been forgotten and there are people in this community that care for them,” says Ardis.
Items can be dropped off at 901 McNeil St. in Shreveport.
A list of needed items can be found at their website: http://www.sbrescuemission.com/
An Amazon wishlist has also been created, items can be ordered and shipped directly to the Mission: SB Rescue Mission Wishlist
