A suspected burglar is behind bars on drug charges after marijuana was found in a home with his three young children.

The burglary happened back on Oct. 17 in the 600 block of Stephenson St. in Shreveport’s South Highlands neighborhood.

The victim told police that they returned home to find their storage shed burglarized and a bicycle valued at $800 was stolen.

After detectives watched the surveillance video they were able to link 22-year-old Lakordo Jamerson to the crime.

Jamerson was taken into custody on Tuesday and during the arrest officers also found drugs and his three young children inside his home.

Jamerson was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of Simple Burglary, Possession of Marijuana, and three counts of having a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a minor.
