Shreveport police seek suspect in robbery of convenience store

Shreveport Police are investigating the armed robbery of a local convenience store Wednesday evening in east Shreveport.

Just before 8:00 p.m. on September 19, 2018, Shreveport Police patrol officers were called to the Chevron gas station located in the 2500 block of East 70th Street.  As officers arrived at the business, it was learned a suspect had entered the business and demanded money from the store clerk at gunpoint. 

The suspect in the crime was described as a black male who stood approximately five feet ten inches, to six feet tall and weighed approximately 230-240 pounds.  After making off with the cash, the suspect fled the business on foot.  There were no reports of any injuries.  Persons with any information about the crime are asked to Crime Stoppers at (318) 673-7373 or via their app, P3Tips.
