ARLINGTON, Texas (KTAL/KMSS) – A Shreveport man wanted in connection with a double kidnapping was taken into custody late this afternoon in Texas, thanks to a Crimestoppers tip.

According to Shreveport police, Quanterious Anthony Johnson was apprehended by agents with the U.S. Marshal’s Office Fugitive Task Force around 4 p.m. today while jumping from a balcony of a Studio 6 Motel in Arlington, Texas.

Johnson, 23, is accused in the February 2019 crime in which two Shreveport residents who offered him a ride were forced at gunpoint to drive to another location and were forced to disrobe. While fleeing, one of the victims was shot.

Johnson was taken into custody at the 2-star motel, located in the 1600 block of North Watson Road in Arlington.

Special thanks to those agencies who assisted in the capture.
