Shreveport police are seeking a man driving a tan or silver Dodge Durango that hit a green Kia Soul that then ran into a police unit outside University Health Hospital this afternoon.

According to Angie Wilhite, public information officer for the Shreveport Police Department, witnesses believe the man may have just left the eye clinic following an eye procedure. Reportedly, he was wearing very dark, thick glasses that are often worn following cataract surgery and other eye procedures.

Police describe the suspect as an older African American male. They say there will be damage on the side and front end of the passenger side of the car.

No one was injured in the incident, and police are not sure the suspect was even aware he collided with the Kia.

Wilhite said when the suspect is located , he will be cited with hit and run driving,
