A standoff between two suspects and Shreveport Police in the Cedar Grove neighborhood ended without incident this afternoon when police were able to convince the suspects to surrender peacefully.
It happened just before noon when patrol officers observed a vehicle they believed to be connected to a recent homicide.
The officers attempted to speak with three individuals in a nearby yard of a home in the 6200 block of Wallace Avenue.
As police approached, two of the people in the yard ran into the house and refused to come out, while the third remained and spoke with police.
Multiple police units responded and the negotiation team was brought in to make contact with the subjects inside the house.
The two subjects eventually surrendered, and spoke with police, but no arrests were made.
After the two suspects inside the house came outside, police searched the house for a person of interest that has been identified in connection with a recent homicide.
