DeKalb ISD posted the following statement on their Facebook page after a written threat was found on campus.  They say the student who wrote it has been removed from campus and at present does not pose a threat.

DeKalb ISD Superintendent Dr. John Booth

Dated: February 26, 2018

Today DISD personnel responded to a report that written material threatening the safety of DISD staff and students had been discovered. The DISD campus administrators acted immediately to address the situation and contacted law enforcement. The student was removed from the DISD middle school campus and does not, at present, pose an immediate threat to DISD students or personnel on school grounds.

We commend the individuals who made the report to DISD and the DISD personnel who immediately responded to the report. Be assured that DISD, its administration, and its staff take all reports of this nature very seriously and will always be committed to providing our students with a learning environment in which they can feel safe and secure.
