Employers from ten counties across Southwest Arkansas set up shop in Hope on Thursday for a career fair.
About nine hundred students visited the event, which is sponsored by the Southwest Arkansas Development Alliance.
Organizers said they want to bring local high schoolers face to face with employers here at home. “We just want to educate and give the eleventh and twelvth graders an opportunity to know what’s here and that we have a lot of great employers. And, you can make a great living and still live here in Southwest Arkansas,” said Southwest Arkansas Economic Development Alliance member Mary Godwin.
Organizers hope to make this an annual event.
