Texarkana, Arkansas Police offering safety classes

The Texarkana, Arkansas Police say they stand ready to offer local churches and businesses safety lessons to deal with an active shooter situation.

TAPD has several Officers certified to teach the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) and the Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events 
(C.R.A.S.E.) course. Both courses cover armed and unarmed response to active shooter events.

This training is available to any business or place of worship in Texarkana, AR.

Training sessions range from a two hour awareness level training up to training for armed response depending their need.
