Texarkana Arkansas inmate dies in Miller County Detention Center

MILLER COUNTY, La. - An inmate at the Miller County Detention Center died Sunday, according to the Miller County Sheriff’s Department.

MCDC staff sound Anthony Corey Bradley, 47, of Texarkana, Ark., unresponsive during a routine check around 5 p.m. Sunday, July 8, and immediately summoned medical personnel on site, as well as notified EMS. Bradley had only been in jail two days, having been brought in on a probation violation for a previous criminal offense on July 6.

Unfortunately, attempts to resuscitate Bradley were unsuccessful. His body was submitted to the Arkansas State Medical Examiner’s Office in Little Rock for a determination regarding the cause of death.

Bradley was being housed alone in a cell and had no physical interaction with other inmates or Detention Center Staff other than routine interaction.

Pursuant to policy, the Miller County Sheriff’s Office notified the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division to initiate an investigation.
