SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Three men are now behind bars following their arrest in the slaying of Shreveport Police Officer Chatéri Payne.
Since the launch of the investigation, law enforcement officials from across the region have worked tirelessly in search of information and evidence connected to the tragic loss. Those efforts came to fruition Tuesday evening with the arrests of three men now charged with murder. Trevon Anderson, 26 of the 1600 block of Midway Avenue, Lawrence Pierre, 22, of the 4100 blocks of Honda Drive, and 38-year-old Glenn Frierson of the 2900 block of Holly Street, each face charges of Second Degree Murder.
Anderson is listed as “Offender was involved in a shooting where he admitted to the role he played arrested for second-degree murder.”
Frierson is listed as “Offender confessed to being involved in a shooting arrested for second-degree murder.”
Pierre is listed as “Offender to being present at time of shooting arrested for second-degree murder and possession…”
The investigation is ongoing at this hour.
Chief of Police Ben Raymond will hold a media briefing on Wednesday to discuss details of the arrests of the suspects.
