Deer season can be the busiest time of the year for those who handle wild game products.
For Gene Smith, owner of Wild Thang Custom Meats in Taylor, Louisiana, 2017 has been the busiest year he’s ever seen.
“We’ve processed over 800 deer, and by the end of the season we’ll probably have processed 1,200”, says Smith.
Custom meats and dishes are especially popular during the warmer months, and here in December business is booming.
