Work is expected to begin Monday on a $17.2 million project on I-20 from the Texas state line to just east of Monkhouse Drive in Shreveport.
This project will patch, mill, and overlay over 13 miles of the interstate in both directions, as well as the shoulders.
As part of this work, there will be nightly lane closures within the project limits, scheduled to take place from approximately 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
This first phase of construction is anticipated to last approximately 60 days. A second phase of construction will follow.
The project is expected to be complete in Spring 2019.
Drivers can use U.S. 80 as an alternate route to avoid the construction.
