Two men are facing numerous charges after drugs and guns were found inside their vehicle during a traffic stop.
Shortly before 8 p.m. Sunday Texarkana, Texas Police stopped a 2012 Hyundai for a minor traffic violation in the 4300 block of Texas Blvd.
When officers approached the car to speak with 26-year-old Wyndel Shepherd, they noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.
Police then conducted a search of the vehicle and discovered marijuana stored in a mason jar, a bottle of codeine syrup, baggies containing eighteen Xanax pills, twelve Oxycodone pills, ten pills believed to be MDMA (Ecstasy), cocaine, crack cocaine, and methamphetamine.
In addition to several scales, officers also found a loaded gun under each of the front seats.
Both Shepherd and his passenger, 17-year-old Jalen Nix were arrested for seven counts of Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, and Unlawfully Carrying a Weapon and transported to the Bi-State Jail without incident.
A judge set bond for each of the men at $181,000.
