“This is for my husband who passed away four years ago on December 13 and I’m so thankful this past summer through LOPA, I received a letter from one of the recipients and I plan to meet them.”
Families of organ donors and recipients honor their lost loved during Willis-Knighton’s first-ever Tree of Life Ceremony.
People shared transplant stories and placed ornaments on the tree to show how they gave the gift of life.
“It’s been an emotional event as people have honored their legacy but it’s been a very happy event as well. People have been effected by organ donation and they’ve come together.”
