TTPD: Illegal to shoot fireworks in city

The Texarkana, Texas Police want to remind its residents that its illegal to set off fireworks inside city limits.

Police say they will be out over the holiday enforcing this city ordinance and if they see see you shooting them, you can get a ticket and  having your fireworks confiscated and destroyed.

Police also ask resident not to use 911 for firearms complaints. If you are having a problem with fireworks in your neighborhood, call them on their non-emergency number (903) 798-3876 so we can keep 911 lines available for emergencies.
