Two New Orleans police officers were arrested and will be fired in connection with an investigation into a fight that happened while they were off-duty at a Mid-City bar, officials said.
Officers John Galman and Spencer Sutton will be officially fired Wednesday, a spokesperson for the New Orleans Police Department confirmed.
Galman and Sutton were arrested and charged Tuesday with simple battery. Both graduated from the training academy in December 2017.
Officials said the two officers were off-duty when they were involved in an altercation with Jorge Gomez.
NOPD investigators said evidence found the two officers were the aggressors.
