UPDATE: Boil advisory lifted for McDade Street area

UPDATE: The City of Bossier City has rescinded the boil advisory previously issued for residents in and around the McDade Street area between Barksdale Boulevard and Arthur Ray Teague Parkway.

The advisory was a precautionary measure pertaining only to water used for consumption. Again the advisory was a precautionary measure and was not a boil order.

ORIGINAL:The Bossier City Water System has placed a small area of Bossier City under a boil advisory.

The advisory was issued after the utility department performed an emergency water main repair near the intersection of McDade St. and Trichel St.  

Residents in and around the McDade St. area between Barksdale Blvd. and Arthur Ray Teague Parkway are being advised to boil their water.  
 
You should boil your water for at least one minute before eating, drinking, making ice or brushing your teeth.  

The advisory will remain in effect unitl further notice.
