UPDATE:

You no longer have to boil your water if you live in certain parts of East Texas.

On Friday officials with the Eastern Cass Water Supply Corporation announced that the boil order that was issued for County Rd. 4799 and State Hwy 77 has been lifted after water samples came back normal.

ORIGINAL STORY:

A boil order has been issued following a water main break in East Texas.

On Thursday the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the Eastern Cass Water Supply Corporation to notify customers of the need to boil their water.

The boil order impacts the area starting from the intersection of County Rd. 4799 and State Hwy 77 going east on State Hwy 77 approximately 5 miles to where the water line ends.

You should boil their water for at least two minutes before eating, drinking, making ice or brushing your teeth.

The boil order will remain in effect until further notice.
