UPDATE: Candidates for the DeSoto Parish Superintendent’s position can now apply online.
Candidates will have until April 9 at midnight to apply for the position.
On Thursday the DeSoto Parish School Board appointed Kathy Noel as interim superintendent.
Dr. Cade Brumley is leaving to take over the Jefferson Parish School District.
The DeSoto Parish School Board has appointed Kathy Noel as interim superintendent.
Noel will replace Dr. Cade Brumley who will be leaving to take over the Jefferson Parish School District.
Noel is the district’s Director of Student Learning.
Applications for DeSoto superintendent position will be accepted through April 9, 2018 and reviewed at the April 12 meeting.
Interviews will be scheduled after that.
A new superintendent could be appointed by April 23.
Applications for the position will be available on the DeSoto Parish School System’s website.
Brumley is expected to start in Jefferson Parish in the coming weeks.
The school board voted on Monday to hire Brumley to take over the largest school district in Louisiana.
