Police are on the hunt for a suspect after an early morning shooting leaves a man seriously injured in Shreveport.
The shooting happened shortly before 5:30 a.m. at a home in the 4900 block of Mansfield Rd.
When officers arrived they found 35-year-old Jay Barr suffering from a gunshot wound to the stomach.
Barr was taken to Ochsner LSU Health with what was described as a possible life threatening injury.

A 35-year-old man was shot in the stomach in West Shreveport on Monday morning, according to officers.
Officer Christina Curtis with the Shreveport Police Department says they received a report about a shooting near Vivian Street and the 4700 blocks of Mansfield Road, in West Shreveport at 5:30 a.m.
A victim was found at the intersecting street. Police said the victim was taken to the hospital with injuries described as serious, but not life-threatening.
The shooter was not located and no information was immediately released about a possible suspect.
