UPDATE: Missing elderly Haughton woman found in SW Arkansas

The elderly Haughton woman with dementia who was reported missing Thursday night has been located.

The Bossier Sheriff’s Office say 82-year-old Janie Marie Beaver Riner was found in Prescott, Arkansas, by the Nevada Co. Sheriff’s Office. 

Official say Mrs. Riner had run out of gas and was confused, but she is okay.


The Bossier Sheriff’s Office seeks the public’s help in locating an elderly Haughton woman with dementia who is missing.

Janie Marie Beaver Riner, 82, of the 600 block of Lawrence Drive in Haughton, was last seen at an appointment today in a business at the 4700 block of Palmetto Road in Benton. She left her cell phone at home, and her son believes she is lost and cannot find her way home.

Mrs. Riner is white, 5’1” and 95 pounds, with hazel eyes and blonde hair. She is driving a 2009 Lexus 35 SUV with a Louisiana license plate, VIA 908.

Detectives say Riner has no other contacts outside of this area and believe she is most likely still in Bossier City or Bossier Parish.
