UPDATE: Police identify woman who allegedly tried to kidnap child in East Texas

UPDATE: 

Police have identified a woman who allegedly attempted to kidnap a child at an East Texas train station.

According to the Longview Police Department, 40-year-old Angela Faith Alldredge, of Longview, was arrested and booked into the Gregg County Jail for kidnapping.

Around 9:45 a.m., Wednesday, police received a call in regards to two women fighting over a child.

Officers responded to Amtrak, located at 905 Pacific Avenue, and learned a woman had taken her 2-year-old boy to watch the trains. 
While at the location, another woman, identified as Alldredge, tried to take the child. The mother fought with Alldredge and bystanders helped hold the suspect until police arrived. 

The child was not hurt, however, the mother did have some minor injuries. 

Police believe this was an isolated event.

A woman had to fight off another woman trying to take her child at a train station in East Texas.

Longview Police received a call about a fight around 9:45 a.m., Wednesday.  The caller stated two women were fighting over a child.

Officers responded to Amtrak located at 905 Pacific and learned a woman had taken her 2-year-old boy to to watch trains. While at the location, another woman tried to take her child. The mother fought with the woman and bystanders helped hold the suspect until police arrived. 

The child was not hurt, however, the mother did have some minor injuries.

The woman who tried to take the child was taken into custody and transported to the Gregg County Jail.
