UPDATE: Arkansas State Police have completed processing the crime scene of a homicide found this morning in the 600 block of Jeanette Street in Magnolia, Arkansas.
The body of the victim will be sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy. The Magnolia police, assisted by the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, the Arkansas State Police and the U.S. Marshal’s Service continue to actively investigate this murder, along with the two previous homicides from earlier this week.
Anyone who has information regarding this morning’s homicide or the others is asked to call the Magnolia Police Department.
Magnolia Police are at the scene of an early-morning homicide in Magnolia.
At around 7:40 a.m. today, Central Dispatch in Magnolia received a report of a deceased person found in the bedroom of a home in the 600 block of Janette Street in Magnolia.
This marks the third homicide this week in Magnolia, not counting the one in which a suspect in one of the homicides was shot and killed by a Columbia County deputy serving a murder warrant Tuesday night.
The investigation is in its early stages, so information on the victim and cause of death has been released. However, as the investigation develops, more information will be forthcoming.
The Arkansas State Police and Columbia County Sheriff’s Department are assisting Magnolia police in the investigation.
