UPDATE: SPD looking for armed robbery suspect

UPDATE: Shreveport Police have identified a second suspect wanted for robbing a liquor store.

He’s identified as 35-year-old Lucas Taylor. Detectives have a warrant for Taylor’s arrest charging him with one count of Armed Robbery. Bond is set at $500,000.00.
Shreveport Caddo Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information leading to the arrest of Taylor. Contact their organization at 318-673-7373.

ORIGINAL: One suspect is behind bars and another is on the run in connection with the robbery of a local liquor store.

The robbery happened Tuesday at the Thrifty Liquor Store in the 1400 block of Hollywood Ave. 

Detectives said 33-year-old Donnie Morgan allegedly entered the business armed with a gun and demanded money from the clerk. 

The suspect drove away from the business after getting an undisclosed amount of cash from the clerk.  

Officers later spotted the vehicle in the 3000 block of Amherst St. and immediately took Morgan into custody. A second man ran away from the business.  
Morgan was booked into the Shreveport City Jail for Armed Robbery.  He also had several traffic warrants.
