UPDATE: Shreveport Police say this started out of Bossier Parish where multiple vehicles were stolen overnight.
One of the stolen vehicles was spotted along Jones Mabry Road by a U.S. Marshal.
Police say three to four suspects got of the vehicle and ran into the woods.
Police are still trying to find them and are asking residents in the MLK neighborhood to remain vigilant. The search has been suspended and the suspects are believed to still be in the wooded area. At least one of the suspects was seen with a handgun.
5 stolen cars were recovered at what is believed to be a dump site on Narcissus Drive, and at least 3 were returned to Bossier Parish where they are being processed for fingerprints. Police hope this will help them identify the suspects who ran into the woods.
SPD and BPSO are reminding everyone to lock their cars and keep valuables out of sight.
