UPDATE: Shreveport Police are investigating a shooting incident that left a woman injured at a north Shreveport apartment complex last night.
It happened just before 11:30 p.m. at the Bayou Oaks Apartment Complex on Grimmett Drive.
Police found 19-year-old Brianna Griffin suffering from a gunshot injury to the face. Griffin told officers that she was standing in the breezeway of her apartment building and an unknown black male shot her. Griffin was transported to University Health Hospital with what was described as non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators with the Violent Crimes and Crime Scene Units responded to the scene and collected evidence and interviewed witnesses. Detectives were unable to locate any eyewitnesses but several people did report hearing a gunshot.

An 18-year-old woman is recovering in the hospital after being shot in the face by a small caliber handgun.
Shreveport police say it happened just before midnight Tuesday at an apartment complex on Grimmett Drive. The victim was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Officers say at this time, they aren’t sure if the woman was by herself or if there was another person in the room. Police say they are searching for a person of interest, but no suspects have been named.
