(KTVE) An UPS driver has been arrested and charged with DWI, according to officers say she was driving the company truck erratically.
Skyla Hall, 27, of Winnsboro, was arrested Thursday, after the West Carroll Sheriff’s Office received a complaint of a UPS driver who appeared to be driving under the influence earlier that day.
A deputy located the UPS truck near Oak Grove and noticed the driver swerving from side to side, so initiated a traffic stop.
The deputy identified the driver as Hall, who submitted to a series of field sobriety tests and performed poorly.
Hall was subsequently arrested, and a backpack containing Hall’s personal belongings was found in the truck. A search of the backpack by deputies turned up seven hydrocodone pills in Hall’s wallet.
Deputies transported Hall to the West Carroll Sheriff’s Office where she was booked for Driving Left of Center, DWI 1st Offense, and Possession of Hydrocodone.
A blood sample was taken from Hall and will be sent to the crime lab.
UPS representatives told WCSO deputies that Hall had been fired a few weeks ago, but the union brought her back.
