Victim’s father in Marshall double murder speaks


A father, trying to wrap his head around this scene. Willie Perkins, 30-year-old son Justin Williams body was found in this home, with the body of Leon Bowman, Friday on Fannin St. in Marshall. “It’s pretty tough it’s been tough for me just shocked. It’s just tough man it really is. It’s tough talking to you right now,” said Perkins. Perkins was working when he heard the news. He says his son lived in the home where his body was found, but he didn’t know The duplex was in the suspect’s name. 46-year-old Jesus Delatorre. “Delatorre was listed as the sole tenant,” said Marshall Police Public Info Officer Kelly Colvin. “When I made it to the scene, there were people talking, that’s when I learned that who they were thinking was the suspect lived in that duplex,” said Perkins. Currently, Delatorre’s whereabouts are unknown. Police say he could be in another country. “We have no idea where he is, we have enlisted in help with federal authorities and including I.C.E because the suspect is not a U.S. citizen,” said Colvin. As for Perkins, he just wants to be with his loved ones. “I got my family members around me now and I don’t want to be alone. It just makes me feel a lot better,” said Perkins.
