The community will gather tonight to remember a local high school student who drowned Monday afternoon.
Divers recovered the 15-year-old’s body from the Sabine River in Logansport.
Officials say several friends were swimming together at the time of the incident. They say the teen went under water and did not resurface.
Tuesday morning students, DeSoto School Superintendent Clay Corley, deputies and others held a small time of prayer and counseling inside the gym at Logansport High School.
There will also be a community wide vigil at 6 p.m. in the Logansport High School gym.
