A 14-year-old boy is in custody after stabbing a woman and the family dog, according to Steve Prator, Caddo Parish Sheriff.
Deputies were notified after the victim, Annette Moore, walked into North Caddo Medical Center with a non-life threatening knife wound.
She told deputies that she and the juvenile were watching television when he left the room then returned with a knife and cut her in an unprovoked attack. As he fled the scene, he also cut the family dog.
The boy jumped on a four-wheeler and took off.
The four-wheeler was found a short while later abandoned nearby on the side of the road. The Sheriff’s Office used K-9s and a drone to search for the boy but did not locate him.
At 3:30 a.m. today, he turned himself in to local authorities. He was booked into the Caddo Juvenile Detention Center for aggravated second-degree battery and aggravated cruelty to animals.
