Louisiana’s fourth fatal motorcycle crash this weekend came just after 6:30 Sunday morning in Rapides Parish.
Aaron Arthur, 28, of Woolworth, La., died as a result of injuries he sustained after being ejected from his 2015 Harley Davidson.
Around 6:35 a.m. troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop E responded to the single-vehicle crash on Louisiana Highway 496, just west of Louisiana Highway 3054.
The investigation reveled Arthur was driving westbound on 496 when he lost control of his Harley and careened off the right side of the roadway.
After exiting the road, the motorcycle traveled down an embankment before striking some tree debris.
Arthur was wearing a helmet, but succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
Routine toxicology tests are pending; the crash remains under investigation.
