A woman accused of intentionally driving her vehicle into an East Texas school is facing serious charges.

On Thursday 30-year-old Anterra Gatson, of Marshall, was arrested for crashing her car into a classroom at Price T. Young Elementary School back on April 11.

Gatson was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Although there was extensive damage to the building, no students or staff were injured during this incident.

As a result of a joint investigation between the Marshall Police Department and Marshall Independent School District Police Department it is believed that Gatson intentionally drove her vehicle into the building.

Gatson was booked into the Harrison County Jail where she is charged with Felony Criminal Mischief and Attempted Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

Gatson’s bond is set at $30,000 on the Criminal Mischief charge and $75,000 on the Attempted Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon charge.
