We asked our NBC 6 fitness enthusiast YaLisha Gatewood what she uses when working on legs.
Some of the leg exercises focus on leg extensions, leg press, dumbbell front squats, and the dumbbell step-up.
When exercising you can start off with just a simple squat to get the muscle going. For a leg extension. you will have to point your toes in three different positions.
It’s also important to make sure that you are concentrating on squeezing the thigh. You want to take a longer rest before your next set when you are doing supersets.
Targeting a specific muscle will help get the maximum benefit of a lean and defined muscle.
And lastly, it’s always important to remember to make sure you work-out at your fitness level. You don’t want to go too heavy on this exercise all at once and remember to give the muscles time to repair and grow.
