BOSSIER CITY, LA. (KTAL/KMSS) — A local pastor is encouraging you to come out and pray for our community, state, and country.
The National Day of Prayer event will be held from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday, May 2 at Barksdale Baptist Church at 1714 Jimmie Davis Hwy. in Bossier City.
Bossier Sheriff Julian Whittington, School Board Representative Dennis Bamburg and Parkway High School student Drew Martin will be among the speakers at tonight’s event.
Pastor Calvin Hubbard said this year’s theme is “Love One Another,” based upon the words of Jesus in John 13:34 – “Love one another; as I have loved you.”
