On Newsfeed Now for March 14 we started the conversation with guns in schools. Missouri Congresswoman Vicki Hartzler has proposed the “Police Officers Protecting Children Act.” It would permit and encourage schools to employ armed, off duty or retired police officers to provide school security. Our Washington Correspondent Anna Wiernicki shared the details.

At the 5:30 mark we turned to Washington where the ripple effect of the grounding of Boeing 737 MAX airplanes is being felt. It’s becoming a nightmare for many travelers across the U.S. KSNW’s Craig Andres explains what the impact has been for the companies and the communities that make the planes.

Our next topic took us to Fairhope, Alabama at 11:09. That’s where a woman survived an attack by a fox. The woman tells WKRG’s Nicolette Schleisman that she used a pair of scissors to defend herself.

And finally, at 14:04 an Arkansas toddler with a terminal disease is receiving early birthday wishes from around the globe after a request from her mom online. The request has gone viral across the country, even landing at President Trump’s desk. KARK’s Michael Esparza reports.
