Pleasant Grove Ready for Bullard Challenge

Just like last year the Pleasant Grove Hawks are chugging along in the post season after picking up a first round win over Wills Point last week.

The Hawks will get a pretty big test this weekend in the 2nd round.
While Bullard may only be coming in with a 14-11 record, they will run Oklahoma State commit, Colton Bowman, out on the mound in game one.

The Hawks say they’re up for the challenge.

Riley Fincher said, “He’s a left handed arm that’s been very successful at the high school level. He runs it up there low 90’s with good off-speed stuff. Our guys are excited about the challenge. They’re excited about the challenge of facing someone like that and go and compete for their school and for each other.”

Nick Voyles said, “They have one guy that I know can throw it pretty good but I have all the confidence in the world in my team that we can come out and attack him.”

The Hawks and Bullard will meet for a best of three playoff series in the Area round.
