SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Louisiana Senator John Kennedy is telling House Democrats to do it or don’t, the time for talk is over.

Kennedy is referring to possible House impeachment proceedings against President Donald Trump.

Kennedy made those comments during a visit Tuesday in Shreveport. Kennedy says the impeachment talk is stalling up other efforts in Congress.

“Either start impeachment proceedings, let’s strap it on and go. Saddle up and ride. They want to have that fight, we’ll have that fight. But I can tell you the President not gonna be convicted in the United States Senate” said Sen. Kennedy.

On Tuesday, Kennedy also called on Special Counsel Robert Mueller to make his testimony public, instead of behind closed doors to the House Judiciary Committee.
