Texas High Focusing On Themselves During Open Week

News

District play did not start out the way the Texas High Tigers wanted.

It was a 35-33 loss to previously winless Marshall.

The loss drops the Tigers to 2-3 overall.

You never want to head into the open week coming off of a loss, but that’s what the Tigers are having to do.

They say they’re going to spend the week addressing the areas of need.

Gerry Stanford said, “Oh I think the open week there is just to get healthy and get your body back underneath you, and just keep working on things to improve on. I think it’s just within our scheme. You know defensively making sure we’re lined up right every snap, and then offensively we’re just doing what we’ve been asked to do in practice, and just having good practice habits so when you get into a game you’re just repeating what you’ve been able to do in practice.”

The Tigers will be back in action on the 13th on the road against Sulphur Springs.
