Arkansas High 23 teams in 23 days

Brad Cesak said, “The Arkansas High Razorbacks return a bunch of starters from a team that made the second round of the playoffs in 2017 in 6A. Now the Hogs have dropped down a classification, and many expect them to make some noise.”

Barry Norton said, “What we’ve got to do is concern ourselves with being the best that we can be. We’ve got to be the best Razorbacks possible, and if we’ll do that, if we’ll follow the process and go through what we’re doing, and train ourselves physically, mentally, we ought to be okay. I think our football team has a chance to be good, and that’s all you can do.”

Cesak said, “Having nine starters back on both sides of the ball will help get things going. The Razorbacks know what’s expected of them as the begin the new year.”

Norton said, “We’re going into the new year, last year was an unknown. This year we know kind of what we have, and the expectations have changed. The expectations, our kids understand them, and we’re really excited about the 2018 football season.”

Cesak said, “The Hogs will be tested early, with non-conference games against Shiloh Christian, Liberty-Eylau, and Texas High. Coach Norton likes to throw the team into the fire to prepare them for the conference matchups.”

Norton said, “Those first three games ought to be fun, it ought to be exciting. It ought to tell us a lot about our football team, who we are and what we’re doing. So, we’re excited about what our schedule looks like. I like it. I think it’s a challenging schedule. I think it’s a schedule that if we take care of our business we have a chance to win every ball game.”

Cesak said, “For this 23 in 23, I’m Brad Cesak.”
