Bearcats looking to end their season in no other way, than with a State Title

Sports

Brad Cesak said “Two years ago the Becville Bearcats made it to the state tournament here in Round Rock, but ultimately that season ending in a bit of a disappointment, falling to Flatonia in the title game. Now the Bearcats are back here at Dell Diamond, and return a bulk of that squad from 2016, including ten seniors. Those seniors say they can’t think of a better way to end their careers at Beckville than with a state championship.”

Michael Mize said, “Well it would mean everything. Some of us are going to play college ball, some of us aren’t. Me in particular, I’m not, so this, it would close the book for me honestly. I can’t ask for anything more.”

Bryce Osborn said, “It would mean a lot to me. We’ve been fighting this battle for about four years now, but we came in second place and it felt real bad. So, we’ve been trying these past two years to get back to the place we’re at right now, and I feel like we’re going to do it this year.”

Cesak said, “Now that road to a championship for the Bearcats will begin against the Brock Eagles in the 3A state semifinals. First pitch set for Friday at noon right here at Dell Diamond. For now though, reporting in Round Rock, I’m Brad Cesak.”
