Big Changes coming to the Beckville offense in 2018

Sports

The Beckville Bearcats are coming off a 5-5 season where they missed the playoffs but a lot has changed since 2017.

The Bearcats are dropping from 3A division-2 to 2A division one.

They’re also installing a new offense, and with six starters back on both sides of the ball, and an experienced offensive and defensive line, the Bearcats may surprise some teams in 2018.

Head coach Mike Bickham said, “Lets be better tomorrow than we were today, lets be better today than we were yesterday and if we do that as a group, as a whole then we’ll just continue to get better and better and better. I think that we’re going to surprise some people. I’m feeling like  this group is going to be pretty strong, I’m excited about them.”

Senior QB Morey Morrison said, “Prove everybody wrong, we were picked to finish 2nd to last in Dave Campbells Football Magazine and I really think that’s an error on their part and it’s up to us to show them.

The Bearcats open the season at home when they play host to Shelbyville on Friday August 31st.
