Cavaliers Trying to Maintain Normalcy Ahead of Title Game

Sports

The weather that’s come through South Louisiana in recent days has thrown the LHSAA state tournament all out of sync.

The Calvary Cavaliers now have to wait until Monday to play their state championship game against Ascension Episcopal.

The situation has been an unwanted curve ball, but the team is trying to keep things like it’s business as usual.

Collin Edmonds said, “You know, all of our coaches were talking about just always stay focused. It depends on what happens, and you’ve just always got to be ready to go out there and play.”

Shannon Cuingham said, “You know you try to keep things as normal as possible. We’re back here, so the bell rang to go to 7th hour class, and we got on the field and started practicing like we always do. So, we just kept it as normal as we could.”

The Cavaliers will play the Division III title game against Ascension Episcopal Monday at 3:00 in Sulphur.
