We’ve seen it at every level of football, brother against brother, father against son, and we’re going to see that again this weekend as John Bachman is the head coach at Red River and his son Thomas Bachman is the head coach at ASH.
It’s just another game for the two coaches but for mom and wife Rhonda it’s tough.
She’ll be wearing a “House Divided” shirt on Friday night in Alexandria but not dad, Senior saying it’s time to teach his son one last lesson.
John Bachman said, “It’s an opportunity for us to share things with each other after the game. I’m planning on going in there and beating him. I’m not going to sell my kids short. I think there are some things that he needs to get better at, and I hope I can expose those things to him. He’s going to do the same thing to me.”
Thomas Bachman said,”Trying to approach it as we’re playing another team. This thing is not about me and dad, of course we talk every single day. I learned almost everything I know about the game from him. A lot of my philosophies comes from sitting under him all these years. As far as the game I’m trying not to think about me and him. We’re going to put our kids out, they’re going to put their kids out and we’re going to play a game on Friday night.”
Red River travels to ASH on Friday night, kickoff set for 7 pm.
We’ll have highlights of the game Friday night during the Southern Quality Ford Friday Night Blitz.
