SERIES RECORD
LSU leads the all-time series with Lamar, 7-6, including last season’s 8-0 victory for the Tigers over the Cardinals in Baton Rouge. This will mark the eighth straight season (2012-19) in which LSU and Lamar have met on the diamond. LSU has won six of the previous seven meetings this decade – the Cardinals’ win in that span came in 2016 in Beaumont, Texas, when Lamar posted a 12-11 victory.

PITCHING MATCHUP
LSU – Fr. RH Landon Marceaux (1-2, 8.41 ERA, 20.1 IP, 11 BB, 18 SO)
Lamar – So. RH Jack Dallas (0-4, 6.04 ERA, 25.1 IP, 17 BB, 20 SO)

QUOTING PAUL MAINIERI
“I’m real proud of the way our guys came together last weekend and won the series over Florida, and I think it gives our team more confidence going forward. Now, our focus shifts to Lamar, and it seems like it’s been a while since we’ve won a midweek game. These games are important, because they affect your RPI, but they’re also difficult to play in between SEC weekend series where our players expend so much effort and emotion. We’re going to do everything we can to win Tuesday night and keep our momentum going.”

“This game also carries a lot significance because it promotes awareness of prostate cancer. I encourage all men over 40 to have a prostate cancer screening done on an annual basis. Early detection is critical to successful treatment.”
