Grambling Opens Spring Practice

It’s been over 100 days since the Grambling football team was on the field, but on Thursday the Tigers were back at work as they got their spring practices underway.

Thursday’s practice marked the first of 15 practices for the Tigers this spring.

Grambling returns several starters from a season ago, most notably quarterback Geremy Hickbottom.

All and all, coach Broderick Fobbs said it was a solid day one.

Broderick Fobbs said, “Well I’ll tell you I thought we moved around well. I had a feeling that we would. Anytime it’s the first day, and you’re excited about getting out here, guys are going to move well. The morale is going to be up. So, it was exciting. It was an exciting day. Made some plays on both sides of the ball which is good for the first day, but also made a lot of mistakes which is also good for the first day. So, there’s a lot to teach on film, and that’s part of it.”

The Tigers will hold their annual spring game on April 13th.
