Grambling State baseball seniors reflect on season

The Grambling State Tigers baseball season ended in the semi finals of the SWAC tournament. Falling to Alabama A&M 5-2. The Tigers finishing 27-25 overall. The first winning season under James Cooper. When reflecting on what the senior class has meant to the program. Coach saying no doubt they’ve been a very special group.

James Cooper said, “Hats goes off to those seniors because a majority of them have already graduated with a degree and also one of them was a valedictorian for us in the graduating class a couple of weeks ago. You kind of want those guys to go out being a champion we talk about it all the time we want to win a championship in the classroom and on the field. Unfortunately it didn’t happen for those guys but they do have some great memories and great times to look back on.”

Isaiah Torres said, “We’ve had together a great season we’ve turned it around we were a little rough but in the past couple of years coach has done a great job we’ve had a lot of great players come through here and I’m happy to be a part of Grambling. Happy to finish my senior season.”
